Sacred Music
In January of 2002 I attended a small
concert in a private home in Guadalajara, Mexico. The concert consisted of a young man playing
several instruments. He played the didgeridoo, the huacas
(Peruvian multi-toned flute), the tibetan bell and rhythm sticks.
He played all of them extremely well. His name is Rafael Bejarano
and he is a musician who has combined the music of several continents
in a unique way.
All of this probably sounds interesting
and unremarkable, until you realize that he was playing all of these
instruments at the same time!
His musical skills were amazing. There
was something else even more incredible though. As Rafael played
all of these instruments I began to feel the real purpose of what
he was doing. He was healing those who came in contact with the
sounds of his instruments. There was an additional instrument that
he was playing that was less visible and yet even more powerful.
This instrument was his heart.
The heart is an electrical instrument,
among other things. It has a resonant signal that can be amplified
and broadcast. The instruments Rafael was playing were the amplifiers
of this signal (particularly the didgeridoo). The carrier wave for
this broadcast is something called intent.
As I listened to these wonderful sounds
I remembered something that had been communicated to me by the dolphins.
They had said that I needed to work more with sound. It occurred
to me that one way that I could heed this advice would be by assisting
Rafael in getting his form of healing out to more people.
A series of concerts took place in
September of 2002 in Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins, Colorado. Thousands
of people were able to experience and enjoy the incredible sounds
of Rafael and his instruments, and to feel the energy of the heart
as it too is played.
Stay tuned for new dates and locations.
Update: Rafael
is now living in Vermont in the USA and is performing in various
locations. He has a new CD called "JOURNEY" that is available
by contacting Rafael
or Ron .
